We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic open-source software developer to join our geographically-distributed Graphics domain team.
The role involves contributions to the Mesa 3D Graphics Library and the entire Linux Graphics stack, including DRI, kernel-mode graphics drivers, Wayland/Weston, OpenGL, Vulkan, and other open-source graphics drivers.
Key responsibilities include discussing technology with clients, representing Collabora at conferences and trade shows, analyzing client problems, and designing solutions using open source technologies.
The developer will define and scope client projects in collaboration with the delivery team and contribute publicly to open source projects to ensure Collabora's technical leadership.
Gaining a working knowledge of customers’ products, applications, and target markets is essential.
Understanding client needs while reconciling time constraints, available technologies, and open source best practices is also a key part of the role.
Requirements:
Experience with direct contributions to the Mesa 3D Graphics Library, including OpenGL, Vulkan, DRI, and Gallium drivers is required.
Candidates must have Linux experience and knowledge of open source development methodologies and relevant open source communities.
Good English language skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
The ability to work and communicate effectively in a fully distributed online environment is essential.
