Belvo is an open finance API platform aiming to democratize access to financial services in Latin America.
The company enables financial innovators to access and interpret financial data and initiate payments from end-users' accounts.
Belvo has a team of over 90 people representing 20 nationalities, with offices in São Paulo and Mexico City, and a significant portion of the team working remotely.
The Open Finance Data Aggregation team is responsible for building services that integrate with financial institutions, retrieving and normalizing end-users' financial information through standardized Open Finance APIs.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining connections to financial institutions, normalizing data formats, creating programmatic data retrieval tools, implementing automated quality assurance, and interfacing with engineering teams and customers for support.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
A degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required.
Candidates should have 3+ years of programming experience in Python.
Experience dealing with large amounts of data in flight and with data retrieval and normalization at scale is necessary.
Familiarity with event-based or queue-based communication is required.
Candidates should be willing to solve challenging problems at scale and have experience with AI coding assistants.
Proficiency in cloud-native platforms, specifically AWS, is expected.
Heavy usage of Datadog is preferred.
Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
Additional experience with OAuth, OpenID Connect, FAPI, the Brazilian Open Finance Ecosystem, asynchronous programming with Python’s asyncio, and knowledge of other programming languages such as Javascript, Java, Ruby, or Go is considered a plus.
