Remote Mid Frontend Engineer (UI experience)

Description:

• We are looking for a talented Frontend Engineer with user interface experience to join our core team.
• You will help our client build and scale a modern web application by writing clean, scalable code and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve our software.
• Our client is a fast-growing SaaS + AI startup backed by top investors, including Techstars San Diego 2024.
• They have developed a robust cloud-based HVAC design platform that significantly reduces the cost and time required to develop mechanical designs.
• The team consists of experienced engineers who understand the problem deeply and iterate quickly.
• Key responsibilities include designing, building, and testing software features using React and Typescript, writing clean and maintainable code, contributing to architecture decisions, and building and maintaining scalable backend infrastructure using Firebase.
• You will own projects from design to deployment, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
• The role requires moving fast and communicating clearly in a small team environment.

Requirements:

• You must have 2+ years of frontend experience working with user interface.
• Proven working experience with React and Typescript is required.
• A solid understanding of UI/UX principles, performance optimization, and web security is necessary.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• You should have a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently while making sound technical decisions are important.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are required.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates your ability to thrive in this role is necessary.
• Having excellent jokes in your back pocket to keep the team laughing is a plus.
