The role involves joining a team of Rubyists to enhance and expand the Rails-based platform.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining features, collaborating with the product team, dedicating time to app maintenance, writing and maintaining tests, monitoring and resolving issues, and learning from experienced engineers.
The technology stack includes Rails 7.1, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, Turbo 8, React, Minitest, Capybara, and GitHub Actions.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience building and shipping production Rails applications and be familiar with its ecosystem.
A strong understanding of writing clean, maintainable code and debugging in a live environment is essential.
Experience with automated testing in Minitest or RSpec is required.
Candidates should be comfortable debugging and troubleshooting production issues.
The ability to work independently on well-defined projects while collaborating with a small team is necessary.
Clear communication skills to explain technical challenges and trade-offs effectively are important.
