Remote Mobile Core Solution Design Engineer - Tietoevry Create (m/f/d)

Description:

• Tietoevry Create is seeking a Mobile Core Solution Design Engineer to support the BICS Sim for Things value stream.
• The role involves leading and contributing to the analysis, design, development, and implementation of network solutions based on various requirements.
• Responsibilities include reviewing technical solutions to ensure they meet business, regulatory, operational, cost, time-to-market, and quality requirements.
• The engineer will lead technical platform development, shape the roadmap, maximize technology use, and apply call-flow analysis and troubleshooting expertise.
• The position requires contributing to end-to-end implementation projects of small to medium scale by coordinating with stakeholders and supporting the design, rollout, and maintenance of technical platforms and operational systems.
• The engineer will draft and review functional and technical specifications, as well as Requests for Proposal (RFP) documents.
• Developing methods, procedures, and technical documentation for various stakeholders such as marketing, product management, and operational teams is also part of the role.
• The engineer will engage in the implementation of technical solutions in close collaboration with operational teams.
• Providing outstanding support to both internal and external stakeholders in the technical domain is essential, building credibility and trust while serving as a respected authority.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have an engineering degree in telecommunications and/or IT technology.
• A good knowledge of networks, telecommunications, and the IT landscape is required.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in a telecom or IT environment is necessary.
• Strong technical knowledge in HTTP, SS7, Diameter, MAP, INAP, and GTP is essential.
• Experience with SIM Applets, Over-The-Air (OTA), eSIM, eUICC, SMDP/SMSR, and SMDP+ is required.
• A comprehensive view of the mobile core and understanding of call flows is considered an asset.
• Proven experience in designing and deploying comprehensive mobile core network solutions, including 4G LTE and 5G core networks, across traditional and cloud-based environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is necessary.
