As an Application Systems Developer at Summit Funding, you will be responsible for coding, debugging, testing, and fine-tuning business applications.
Your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining API components for seamless integration with the Encompass platform.
You will configure and troubleshoot issues with web-based applications and services, including deployment processes.
Ensuring applications operate efficiently, you will provide production support, data research, code analysis, and web development work, including enhancements and hotfixes.
You will follow approved life cycle methodologies and produce detailed application documentation, including process and data flow diagrams.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in the API ecosystem and Encompass platform, will be essential to improve existing applications and development processes.
You will participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, overseeing batch processing, document generation, and data exchange formats.
Regular interaction with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft IIS stack will be part of your responsibilities.
You will build out Full Stack Web Applications using technologies such as NodeJS, Vite, Next.js, React, and JavaScript.
The position is hybrid-remote or remote depending on experience and location, and it reports out of the Sacramento Corporate Office.
The salary offered ranges from $57.07 to $70.42 per hour, depending on location and experience.
Requirements:
You should have 4–7+ years of experience in application systems development or a related field.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in finance or enterprise environments is preferred.
Experience with loan origination systems, particularly Encompass, is a plus.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Strong programming skills in object-oriented programming languages such as JAVA, C#, or Python, with exposure to RESTful API design and integration, are required.
You must possess analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience in assessing and resolving technical issues.
Strong analytical skills are necessary to assess new and unfamiliar issues and work through potential solutions, issues, and risks.
The ability to work independently on a distributed team is essential.
Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment are required.
You should be able to prioritize work and adapt to shifting priorities based on business needs.
Excellent documentation skills and the ability to keep various documents up to date are necessary.
You must be able to give regular updates and communicate clearly in a timely manner.
