Remote [MSO] Database Administrator (Oracle/MS SQL Server)

Description:

• You will be responsible for building a private cloud solution for the government in one of the countries in Western Europe.
• The focus will also be on migration and maintenance of the created solution.
• You will manage Oracle and MS SQL database environments based on Linux and Solaris operating systems.
• Participation in IT infrastructure and database-related projects is expected.
• You will configure virtual environments to support database operations.
• Troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring availability, capacity, and performance of Oracle and MS SQL systems will be part of your responsibilities.
• You will prepare and maintain production, development, and test environments.
• Automating recurring tasks to improve efficiency is required.
• You will create and maintain technical documentation for IT environments.

Requirements:

• You must have at least 3 years of hands-on experience working with Oracle databases.
• Previous experience in MS SQL database administration is required.
• A solid knowledge of SQL is necessary.
• A good level of communication in English is expected.
• Proficiency in Linux, sufficient for effective database management, is required.
• Some experience with a scripting language (e.g. Bash, Python) is necessary.
• Familiarity with MySQL would be an advantage.
