Resource Innovations is seeking a Lead Engineer to join their growing team in New Jersey.
The Lead Engineer will have a strong background in multifamily and C&I custom and energy management DSM program engineering.
Responsibilities include leading and supporting the implementation of energy efficiency projects, conducting energy audits, and serving as a technical liaison to various stakeholders.
The role involves identifying barriers to energy efficiency adoption and proposing innovative solutions.
The Lead Engineer will manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring deliverables meet technical excellence and client requirements.
The position requires developing energy efficiency project scopes and performing technical analysis to quantify savings and impacts.
High-quality technical reports summarizing findings and project economics must be prepared.
Measurement and verification activities, including on-site visits, will also be part of the role.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, energy engineering, or a similar field is required.
A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, and other commercial and industrial systems is necessary.
Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in the energy efficiency or building efficiency industry.
The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and budgets is essential.
Excellent writing, interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills are required.
Candidates must be able to effectively distill and convey complex ideas into concise communication.
Comfort in managing projects with variable levels of ambiguity is important.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel, is necessary.
Local travel of up to approximately 25% of the time is required.

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on skills, experience, and qualifications, with a compensation range of $90,000 - $130,000.
Employees are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
