Description:

  • We are looking for a detail-oriented Municipal Data Analyst to join the team.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing data related to municipal operations, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support operational efficiency and enhance decision-making.
  • You will collaborate closely with various municipal departments and stakeholders to ensure data integrity and facilitate data-driven initiatives.
  • Key responsibilities include analyzing and determining critical parties to bond deals along with pertinent details regarding specific disclosure obligations.
  • You will research relationships between various municipal legal entities and obligors to ensure that all debt has been identified, across possible issuing vehicles.
  • The role involves researching and analyzing financial reports and other disclosure filings for their content as well as for inaccuracies in borrower submissions to regulators.
  • You will review and interpret system-generated analyses, challenge those analyses, and improve upon them.
  • Communication with clients, prospects, issuers, data vendors, and government agencies is essential, including document inquiries and answering questions.
  • There is an opportunity to participate in the specification of enhancements to our various software applications.
  • You will conduct ad hoc municipal research and data querying, gathering, and validation projects.
  • The position requires you to be responsible for accurate and on-time reviews of designated client work.
  • You will work with Support to ensure all client questions are accurately and timely answered.
  • Additionally, you will review and report on monthly client request activity and support the POS documentation request process.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree, preferably in Finance, Public Policy, or another related field is required.
  • The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a high degree of initiative.
  • You must be process-oriented, with a focus on effectiveness and efficiency; being highly organized with strong attention to detail and thoroughness is essential.
  • Good judgment must be exercised in all tasks.
  • Clear English comprehension, as well as written and oral communication skills, are necessary.
  • A dedication to quality and continuous improvement is expected.
  • You should have a willingness to learn new things constantly by your own initiative.
  • The ability to work well as a team member and independently is important.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required.
  • Knowledge of the Municipal Industry is necessary.
