Remote MySQL Database Engineer

Description:

• Occasional travel for team meetings, conferences, or customer visits is expected.

Requirements:

• You must have good hands-on knowledge of both MySQL and InnoDB.
• Skills with MySQL ecosystem tools and technologies are required.
• A solid understanding of performance tuning, query optimization, and index tuning is necessary.
• Knowledge of backup solutions like Xtrabackup and mydumper, as well as Point-in-Time-Recovery, is essential.
• Experience with high availability solutions, including replication and proxies, is needed.
• Familiarity with zero-downtime procedures and monitoring requirements is important.
• You should have demonstrable experience administering Linux-based systems.
• The ability to troubleshoot methodically and creatively is required.
• A self-taught attitude and enthusiasm for growing your skill set with new technologies are necessary.
• You must be available to travel for occasional team meetings or customer visits.
• Experience working with customers in English is required.
