The Network Engineer will be a member of the Engineering Team within Professional Services and will play a key role in the successful delivery of Infrastructure Projects comprising of Wired and Wireless Network for clients.
The role is accountable for ensuring assigned projects meet client requirements and are delivered using best practices within agreed scope, time, budget, and quality.
Projects may be delivered individually or as part of a large Infrastructure refresh, collaborating with a group of engineers and following design and implementation guidelines provided by the Lead Network Engineer.
Requirements:
Candidates must have previous experience with an IT&T System Integrator, Professional Consulting Services, Internet Services Provider, or a similar organization.
A minimum of 5+ years in a network engineering role is required.
Current certifications in Fortinet Firewall/SD-WAN (FCSS), FCP (Switching and Wireless), and/or Aruba Switching/Wireless Stack (ACSA, ACMP) or equivalent certification are mandatory.
Candidates must possess at least 2 other vendor network-related industry certifications.
Strong knowledge and industry experience across a range of networking technologies, including vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco/Meraki, HP-Aruba, and Palo Alto, is essential.
Industry experience working within the ITIL framework is required, with ITIL certifications being highly regarded.
A strong understanding and demonstrated experience in the use of Next Gen Firewalls, Routing, SD-WAN, Switching, and Wireless technologies is necessary.
Experience with Service Provider Routing, Security Appliances, Orchestration Tools, Log Management, Network Load Balancing, and Azure and AWS Networking is highly regarded.
Practical understanding of Microsoft Windows, SAN and Virtualized environments, Disaster Recovery techniques, and Security processes is required.
Strong project delivery and documentation skills are essential.
