New Era Technology is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with strong experience in DMZ infrastructure, BGP/static routing, and firewall integration to support a strategic network security initiative.
The role involves reviewing and documenting all existing DMZ connectivity, cleaning up outdated configurations, and preparing the environment for a new Palo Alto firewall architecture.
Responsibilities include reviewing and identifying existing DMZ network connectivity, documenting current DMZ design, collaborating with the firewall engineering team, removing obsolete static routes, preparing network infrastructure for Palo Alto firewalls, validating connectivity post-migration, maintaining detailed documentation, ensuring compliance with internal standards, and providing troubleshooting support during and after migration events.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on routing and firewall environments.
Prior experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is mandatory.
Strong hands-on experience with BGP, static routing, and Cisco or Juniper switch configurations is essential.
Familiarity with DMZ network design, network segmentation, and perimeter security principles is required.
Knowledge of Checkpoint and Palo Alto is necessary.
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail are important.
Candidates must possess strong documentation and communication skills.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is required.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable working after hours or weekends during cutover events.
