  • The Network Infrastructure Engineer position is based in Basingstoke, UK, and is remote-friendly with occasional travel.
  • This is a full-time role within the TechOps department, offering a salary range of £35,000–£45,000 depending on experience.
  • The role requires hands-on experience in real-time AV networking, ideally in live sports, broadcast, or high-performance event environments.
  • The engineer will work closely with the Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy, and support low-latency, high-bandwidth AV-over-IP systems.
  • Responsibilities include ensuring stability, visibility, and scalability across networked media workflows and supporting on-prem to AWS delivery models.
  • The engineer will advise engineering teams on transport-layer design issues and ensure network infrastructure aligns with evolving software requirements.
  • This role connects fieldwork, system engineering, and software delivery, providing insights into real-time networks and improving tools and systems.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 2–5 years of experience in IP or AV networking, either field-based or support-focused.
  • A Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification (e.g., JNCIA, CompTIA Network+) is required.
  • A solid understanding of multicast networking and protocols such as IGMPv2/v3, Dante, NDI, SDVoE, and AES67 is essential.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working across time zones and with third parties, including ISPs and remote engineers.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills are necessary to translate complex technical ideas clearly.
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience is required.
