  • The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for Network Security software development, including collaborating on requirements, writing technical specifications, designing, coding, and testing.
  • This position is hands-on and requires close collaboration with team members to develop new features and functions.
  • Responsibilities include partnering with Product Management, Development, and other Engineers to install and support firewall management solutions for internal R&D.
  • The engineer will provide technical expertise during the application development process for products and solutions from various vendors, including firewalls, routers, switches, IPS, and proxies.
  • Building and maintaining test labs, assisting in software design, and providing technical assistance to developers are key tasks.
  • The role involves gathering technical requirements for integrating with security devices by reviewing various guides.
  • The engineer will learn the inner workings of security devices and convert that logic into a usable structure for applications.
  • Scheduling, architecting, and designing software integration with security devices in collaboration with product managers, architects, and developers is essential.
  • The engineer will set up, manage, and maintain security devices in the test lab for R&D and integration testing.
  • Creating and executing test cases to ensure proper code functionality within the application is required.
  • Serving as a support escalation point for complex support issues involving device integration and creating internal KB documentation for known configurations are also part of the role.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in network design and support is necessary.
  • Expertise in networking and/or security is essential.
  • Experience with packet trace and analysis techniques and tools is required.
  • Familiarity with network security tools such as firewalls, IPS, routers, switches, and proxies is necessary.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies and platforms is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and writing skills are required.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, including the ability to meet business requirements with technical solutions, are essential.
  • The candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple roles and demonstrate high emotional intelligence.
  • Experience with Regex is required.
  • The ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude and working well with others is necessary.
