Smartbridge is seeking an Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure technologies.
The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years of experience working with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, SQL, and ETL processes.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), designing and implementing data models for efficient storage and retrieval in Azure Synapse Analytics, and optimizing SQL queries and performance tuning for large datasets.
The role involves working with Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and other cloud data solutions, implementing data security measures such as role-based access control (RBAC) and data masking, and collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in Azure Data Engineering is required.
Proficiency in Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building, orchestrating, and monitoring data pipelines is essential.
Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics for data modeling and performance optimization is necessary.
Strong skills in SQL Server & T-SQL for writing complex queries and stored procedures are required.
Candidates should have experience in ETL & Data Transformation, handling large datasets.
Familiarity with Azure Data Lake & Blob Storage for managing structured and unstructured data is needed.
Knowledge of Power BI or other visualization tools is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience with Python or Spark (Databricks experience is a plus) is beneficial.
A Microsoft Azure certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience in Oil & Gas, Healthcare, or Food & Beverage industries is a plus.
The role is 100% remote, and candidates must be available for the second shift to overlap with the US team until Noon CST.
There is a 3-month probation period before full-time confirmation, during which any required certification must be completed if not already held.
