We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to take ownership of mission-critical database environments.
The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and technically skilled, with a passion for performance tuning, automation, and solving complex database issues.
Responsibilities include installing and configuring Oracle databases, both on-premises and in the cloud, handling patches and upgrades.
The DBA will analyze reports, resolve SQL issues, and optimize performance as part of performance tuning.
The role involves designing RMAN strategies for backup and recovery, running recovery drills, and maintaining disaster recovery documentation.
Security management tasks include overseeing roles, permissions, auditing, and data masking.
The DBA will use OEM/tools to automate tasks and monitor database health.
Capacity planning responsibilities include forecasting needs and leading migrations/upgrades.
The role requires handling incident management, including escalations and collaboration on resolutions.
Documentation tasks involve maintaining runbooks, diagrams, logs, and monthly reports.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience supporting Oracle 11g/12c.
Strong knowledge of RMAN, Data Guard, and GoldenGate (or similar) is required.
Proficiency in SQL tuning, AWR/ASH analysis, and OEM is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable working on Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and/or Windows Server.
Familiarity with cloud deployments such as OCI and AWS RDS is expected.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
An Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in English, are essential.
