Planet Argon is seeking an experienced Flutter (Dart) Developer for a short-term contract to help develop a mobile version of a client’s web-based tool.
The primary objective is to recreate essential features and workflows in Flutter, utilizing an existing backend API.
The project involves contributing to My Storage Navigator, a mobile app for managing self-storage operations, starting with refining the Login flow and expanding to build additional UI screens and handle API integrations.
This contract will run from July through September 2025, with an estimated workload of approximately 90 hours total: ~40 hours in July, ~40 hours in August, and ~10 hours in September.
This is a remote, part-time contract position.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience and a senior-level understanding of mobile development, Flutter and Dart (or React Native if discussed), integrating REST APIs, handling asynchronous data, mobile authentication flows, and mobile-first responsive design.
Responsibilities include building and refining mobile UI components and workflows using Flutter/Dart, integrating securely with existing backend APIs, translating complex web functionality into native mobile patterns, collaborating with the project manager and client for scoping and estimating, writing maintainable and well-tested code, and surfacing risks or blockers early and often.
Clear communication in a remote, async-first environment is essential.
The ideal contractor should be comfortable working remotely within 1-2 hours of the EST timezone and be available for periodic meetings during EST business hours.
Benefits:
The compensation rate for this position is $80 USD/hour.
