Responsibilities include auditing and migrating existing repositories, enhancing shared Helm charts, reviewing Git repositories and workflows, identifying gaps in repository structure, and designing a plan to move manifests into a central service registry.
The engineer will work closely with application teams to ensure minimal disruption during cutover, set up a centralized Helm-chart registry, standardize and publish team charts, build and extend IaC pipelines, write scripts for environment setup, and produce documentation for the new registry model.
The role also involves hosting workshops to onboard and support development teams.
Requirements:
Candidates must have production experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
Hands-on experience with GitOps, including managing repositories, pipelines, and deployments, is required.
Proficiency in Terraform and/or Crossplane for infrastructure-as-code is necessary.
Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages are essential.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills are needed to work effectively across multiple teams.
It is a plus to have experience in standardizing and refactoring Helm charts at scale.
Previous experience with platform-as-a-service (PaaS) or developer self-service tooling is also desirable.
