The Platform Security Engineer will work closely with software, DevOps, and QA engineers to build and secure modern cloud infrastructure and services throughout the software development lifecycle.
The role involves learning and sharing best practices to integrate a DevSecOps mindset into the development team's daily routines.
The Technical Enablement team, which the engineer will be part of, consists of specialists collaborating with various engineering teams on architecture, data engineering, QA automation, performance, and cybersecurity.
Responsibilities include owning tools and processes for LanguageWireโs secure development lifecycle, identifying areas for cloud security improvement, defining security metrics, and collaborating with SREs on Infrastructure & Cloud Security.
The engineer will interface with customer-side cybersecurity experts, addressing questions related to cybersecurity measures in the Product Suite.
Support will be provided to the compliance management team regarding technical, security-related aspects of certifications like ISO27001 and TISAX.
Success will be measured by compliance with security best practices, a strong DevSecOps mindset within dev teams, becoming a reference for cybersecurity matters, and successful dialogues with customer-side experts.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of security engineering experience is required.
Candidates must have a solid understanding of building and operating secure systems at scale.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools like Terraform is necessary.
Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure or GCP, container deployments using Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
Candidates should have experience in maintaining and improving security processes for engineering teams.
The ability to explain security topics to both engineers and cybersecurity experts, internally and externally, is required.
