Description:

  • The Platform Security Engineer will work closely with software, DevOps, and QA engineers to build and secure modern cloud infrastructure and services throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • The role involves learning and sharing best practices to integrate a DevSecOps mindset into the development team's daily routines.
  • The Technical Enablement team, which the engineer will be part of, consists of specialists collaborating with various engineering teams on architecture, data engineering, QA automation, performance, and cybersecurity.
  • Responsibilities include owning tools and processes for LanguageWireโ€™s secure development lifecycle, identifying areas for cloud security improvement, defining security metrics, and collaborating with SREs on Infrastructure & Cloud Security.
  • The engineer will interface with customer-side cybersecurity experts, addressing questions related to cybersecurity measures in the Product Suite.
  • Support will be provided to the compliance management team regarding technical, security-related aspects of certifications like ISO27001 and TISAX.
  • Success will be measured by compliance with security best practices, a strong DevSecOps mindset within dev teams, becoming a reference for cybersecurity matters, and successful dialogues with customer-side experts.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of security engineering experience is required.
  • Candidates must have a solid understanding of building and operating secure systems at scale.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools like Terraform is necessary.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure or GCP, container deployments using Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
  • Candidates should have experience in maintaining and improving security processes for engineering teams.
  • The ability to explain security topics to both engineers and cybersecurity experts, internally and externally, is required.
