Responsibilities include administering and optimizing PostgreSQL schemas, designing and maintaining data mappings, leading data ingestion processes, overseeing API-based writebacks, and serving as a subject-matter expert on PMS financial data flows.
The candidate will monitor ETL pipelines, participate in architecture discussions, and collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors.
The position requires 5+ years of experience with financial and scheduling data from medical practice management systems and expertise in PostgreSQL database administration.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience working directly with financial and scheduling data from medical practice management systems.
A strong understanding of common financial data domains such as charges, payments, adjustments, appointments, encounters, insurance mapping, and medical practice financial reporting is required.
Expertise in PostgreSQL database administration, including performance tuning, index optimization, and schema management, is essential.
Proven success in building and troubleshooting complex ETL workflows using Python and SQL is necessary.
Experience with REST APIs for system integration, particularly with PMS or EHR APIs, is required.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are mandatory.
Experience with bash scripting, cron jobs, and job orchestration tools is a plus.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
