Gremlin is seeking a passionate Solutions Architect for a pre- and post-sales role to demonstrate the value of Reliability Management to customers.
The role involves demonstrating Gremlin Reliability Management and providing guidance on best practices for building reliable architectures.
As customers transition to a paid subscription, the Solutions Architect will advise on designing and implementing experiments to support customers in their reliability journey.
Responsibilities include demonstrating Gremlin in customer calls and webinars, partnering with the sales team to drive technical wins, and leading proof-of-concepts with potential customers.
The Solutions Architect will educate potential customers on Reliability and Chaos Engineering, work with existing customers on technical projects, and assist in troubleshooting.
The role also involves consulting with customers on the resiliency of their applications and architecture, diagnosing gaps, and recommending solutions.
Participation in technical workshops and conferences is expected, along with collaboration with various functions of the company including Product Marketing, Support, and Engineering.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect in a tech company.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Strong problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes Platforms (Managed and Unmanaged) such as AKS, EKS, GKE, OpenShift, and Rancher is necessary; a Certified Kubernetes Administrator is a plus.
Proficiency in Linux, including shell scripting, is required; a Certified Linux Administrator is a plus.
Experience with container and container runtimes is needed.
A solid understanding of operating systems concepts (CPU, Memory, and networking) is required.
Working knowledge of observability solutions, load testing solutions (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Grafana K6), CI/CD and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible), service mesh (e.g., Istio), REST APIs, and familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go is necessary.
Certification and experience with one or more public cloud providers, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, is required.
Bonus experience includes working in an SRE or DevOps role resolving production outages, knowledge of modern DevOps and SRE tools, and integration into ITSM tools.
