Everway is seeking a Principal AI/ML Engineer to design and build core AI infrastructure for their product suite.
This role involves creating foundational AI systems for content retrieval, content leveling, GenAI orchestration, and multi-language model integration.
The engineer will collaborate with AI engineers, product teams, and platform engineering to ensure AI capabilities are reusable, robust, and production-grade.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing shared AI services, building and maintaining ML model pipelines, and collaborating with product and GenAI teams.
The engineer will define standards for scalable AI infrastructure, contribute to model quality evaluation, and work across multiple languages and data modalities.
Participation in architectural reviews, technical planning, and roadmap discussions is also expected.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in machine learning, AI infrastructure, or applied ML engineering.
Proven experience in building production ML systems is required, not just research or prototyping.
Strong software engineering skills in Python, backend APIs, and cloud infrastructure are essential.
Hands-on experience with vector search, semantic embeddings, and retrieval systems is necessary.
A solid understanding of LLMs and modern GenAI system architectures is required.
Experience with model deployment frameworks such as Ray, MLFlow, SageMaker, or custom infrastructure is needed.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment are essential.
Experience with multilingual or accessibility-focused NLP is preferred.
Familiarity with content generation or authoring platforms, such as CMS integrations, is beneficial.
Previous work experience in education or assistive tech sectors is a plus.
Knowledge of prompt orchestration tools, safety frameworks, and GenAI evaluation approaches is required.
Candidates should be comfortable working in early-stage, high-autonomy environments.
