The Principal Consultant will lead projects and produce deliverables based on proactive services client engagements.
This role is client-facing and involves working directly with multiple customers and key stakeholders, including technical operators, management, and C-Suite executives.
The Principal Consultant will drive the security priorities of Cloud Platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP, as well as Cloud Related Applications/Services (CASB).
Responsibilities include understanding the cloud threat intelligence landscape, conducting security configuration audits, performing architectural overviews, analyzing monitoring and alerting levels, and conducting reviews of cloud identity management methodologies.
The role also involves conducting general cyber risk assessments using frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 27001/2, PCI, and CIS Top 2, and using command-line interfaces for technical validation.
The Principal Consultant will assess client implementations of multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments and advise on developing cloud security initiative roadmaps.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in cloud security advisement and risk assessments based on industry-accepted standards.
Former professional services and consulting experience is preferred, along with experience managing a team of consultants.
Cloud Security-related certifications are preferred, and hands-on experience with cloud hosting providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) is required.
Experience with a Cloud Application Security Broker (MCAS, Netskope) is necessary, as well as deep technical knowledge in CASBs and Cloud Platforms.
Candidates should have former experience with cloud migrations and a demonstrated track record in strengthening client relationships.
Knowledge of command-line interfaces or scripting tools in cloud environments is a plus.
The ability to scope new opportunities with prospective clients, including drafting statements of work and proposals, is essential.
Candidates must be able to travel as needed to meet business demands (on average 30%).
A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Cyber Security, or equivalent experience is required.
Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $151,000 to $208,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and work location.
The offered compensation may include restricted stock units and a bonus.
