Description:

  • The Principal Consultant will lead projects and produce deliverables based on proactive services client engagements.
  • This role is client-facing and involves working directly with multiple customers and key stakeholders, including technical operators, management, and C-Suite executives.
  • The Principal Consultant will drive the security priorities of Cloud Platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP, as well as Cloud Related Applications/Services (CASB).
  • Responsibilities include understanding the cloud threat intelligence landscape, conducting security configuration audits, performing architectural overviews, analyzing monitoring and alerting levels, and conducting reviews of cloud identity management methodologies.
  • The role also involves conducting general cyber risk assessments using frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 27001/2, PCI, and CIS Top 2, and using command-line interfaces for technical validation.
  • The Principal Consultant will assess client implementations of multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments and advise on developing cloud security initiative roadmaps.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in cloud security advisement and risk assessments based on industry-accepted standards.
  • Former professional services and consulting experience is preferred, along with experience managing a team of consultants.
  • Cloud Security-related certifications are preferred, and hands-on experience with cloud hosting providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) is required.
  • Experience with a Cloud Application Security Broker (MCAS, Netskope) is necessary, as well as deep technical knowledge in CASBs and Cloud Platforms.
  • Candidates should have former experience with cloud migrations and a demonstrated track record in strengthening client relationships.
  • Knowledge of command-line interfaces or scripting tools in cloud environments is a plus.
  • The ability to scope new opportunities with prospective clients, including drafting statements of work and proposals, is essential.
  • Candidates must be able to travel as needed to meet business demands (on average 30%).
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Cyber Security, or equivalent experience is required.

  • The compensation for this position ranges from $151,000 to $208,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and work location.
