The Principal Security Systems Engineer will lead and design the multi-layer physical-security stack that protects Fluidstack’s most valuable asset, our data.
The role involves managing all aspects of the security system for data centers while coordinating with all other discipline requirements.
The engineer will create a strategy for data center security system design and deployment.
Responsibilities include developing security system standards in compliance with US DoD and other international standards.
The engineer will develop and maintain the basis of design, master specification, and master drawings.
They will facilitate the development of project-specific drawings and documentation based on the master design, working with external design consultants for local adaptation.
The role requires engineering access-control, CCTV, intrusion-detection, and biometric systems to meet SOC 2 & ISO 27001 standards.
The engineer will create zoning and mantrap layouts, badge/biometric authentication flows, and visitor-management SOPs.
They will specify encryption and retention policies for video, logs, and alarms.
The role includes integrating security events into DCIM and corporate SIEM platforms.
The engineer will drive resiliency through dual-path communications, battery backup, and regular penetration-test programs.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 10+ years of experience designing hyperscale, enterprise, or mission-critical physical-security systems.
A deep knowledge of ONVIF, SIA DC-09, OSDP, Wiegand, and BACnet is required.
Experience with Genetec, LenelS2, Honeywell, or Avigilon ecosystems is necessary.
CISSP-ISSAP or PSP certification is desirable.
