  • The Principal Data Engineer will lead the transition to distributed computing using Databricks and will be the go-to expert regarding the data stack and environment.
  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing a distributed computing environment, managing data governance, and ensuring data quality and integrity.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in designing and architecting data systems, warehousing, and/or ML Ops platforms.
  • Proven experience in the design and architecture of large-scale data systems, including lakehouse and machine learning platforms, using modern cloud-based tools is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for collaboration with cross-functional and executive teams.
  • Candidates should have the ability to develop and implement data architecture roadmaps that align with business strategies.
  • Expertise in data architecture and design for both structured and unstructured data is necessary.
  • Fluency with modern cloud data stacks, SaaS solutions, and evolutionary architecture is required.
  • Candidates must have expertise in data management aspects such as data governance and metadata management.
  • Experience with real-time data streaming, data analytics, BI, data reporting, and data visualization is also required.
