EverOps is seeking a Principal Engineer with a deep understanding of enterprise cloud infrastructure and the ability to manage projects autonomously.
The role involves leveraging strong communication and collaboration skills while focusing on client satisfaction and high availability.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will work from the U.S.-Based Virtual Operating Center, managing multiple customers’ production cloud environments.
The position offers a dynamic work environment where you will not be siloed into one aspect of operations engineering.
You will be part of a team that empowers and mentors new hires to ensure their success.
Responsibilities include ensuring project scope and alignment with clients, guiding your Tech Pod technically and career-wise, and developing automation tools for managing production and development environments.
You will participate in regular scrums, monitor environments for constant improvement, implement new tools as customer requirements evolve, and provide operational support for customer environments.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 15+ years of professional experience as a DevOps, CloudOps, or Site Reliability Engineer.
A strong hands-on experience and deep understanding of Linux is required.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Golang, Python, Ruby, Bash, Typescript, or Rust is necessary.
Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Azure is essential for designing and running highly-available cloud-native environments.
Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Chef, and Packer is required.
Candidates should understand current best practices related to Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform + Atlantis and/or CloudFormation.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions, Argo CD, Spinnaker, or Travis CI is necessary.
Familiarity with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) is required.
Experience with monitoring tools such as DataDog, Splunk, ELK, or Prometheus/Grafana is necessary.
Candidates must have NoSQL experience with databases like Cassandra, MongoDB, or DynamoDB, as well as relational database experience with MySQL or Postgres.
