You will be part of our Global Infrastructure Services team and report to the Director of Data Strategy. This is a remote position.
You will lead global teams in design and architecture discussions with partners, developers, and platform engineers.
You will architect enterprise-grade, multi-region cloud-native database solutions.
You will have expertise in leading cloud migration efforts and cross-platform database migrations from MS SQL and Oracle to cloud-native MySQL and PostgreSQL, including re-platforming and refactoring legacy systems.
You will manage globally distributed data platforms with high resilience and enterprise standards, deploying with Terraform automation and CI/CD integration.
You will collaborate with teams to align database strategy with our goals.
You will ensure compliance with data governance, security standards, and audit readiness.
You will oversee application planning, architecture, performance tuning, and capacity management.
You will mentor engineering teams and contribute to enterprise data modeling and governance.
You will document architecture and processes for all kinds of team members.
Requirements:
You must have 15+ years in enterprise database engineering, including 6+ years in cloud-native architecture.
You should have experience in cross-platform migrations, such as Oracle and SQL Server to AWS RDS MySQL/PostgreSQL.
You need deep experience with multi-cloud platforms and tools, including AWS RDS, Azure SQL, and OCI Autonomous DB.
A background in DevOps automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and Python is required.
You should have experience with performance optimization, observability tools, and high-availability design.
You must have experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners, with experience leading global technical teams.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as data compliance frameworks like PCI and GDPR, is necessary.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
