Oak Engage is seeking a Principal Front-End Engineer with strong React experience to lead the development of user-facing features across its platform.
The role involves setting the technical direction for the front end, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver elegant, performant, and scalable user experiences.
Responsibilities include defining and evolving front-end architecture, leading the development of high-quality UI components, mentoring developers, and contributing to company-wide engineering culture and processes.
The position requires a hands-on engineer who will uphold standards for code quality, accessibility, testing, and performance.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in front-end development, with significant exposure to React and TypeScript.
Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, along with a coaching mindset and commitment to team development.
A deep understanding of modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as experience integrating with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, is required.
Experience in designing and evolving scalable front-end systems in a SaaS or product-led environment is necessary.
Candidates should possess strong architectural thinking, cross-functional collaboration skills, and experience with scalable component-based systems.
Familiarity with agile methodologies, Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices is important; exposure to Azure DevOps is a plus.
A user-focused mindset with attention to detail and performance is expected.
Strategic thinking skills to balance short-term delivery with long-term scalability and maintainability are required.
