Coupa is seeking a Principal Industry Advisory to help prospects and customers accelerate their Total Spend Management (TSM) maturity and maximize the value they derive from Coupa.
The role involves establishing Coupa as a credible partner in TSM by showcasing deep industry experience and expertise throughout the customer value lifecycle.
Responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, providing senior-level support during sales cycles, and serving as an industry expert for strategic customer engagements.
The Principal Industry Advisory will lead executive-level discussions, conduct business value assessment workshops, and support post-sale advisory meetings to ensure successful customer adoption.
The position also requires building a strong ecosystem of customer references, creating industry-specific content, and offering strategic account support.
The role involves acting as a link for market feedback and collaborating with Product teams to integrate research and industry knowledge into the software.
Requirements:
A minimum of 9-12 years of professional experience in large, multi-national software or IT organizations, with proven expertise in at least one industry or solution segment is required.
Experience working directly with Sales Management and Field Sales is essential.
Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to build credibility and trust with individuals at all organizational levels, from analysts to senior executives, are necessary.
The candidate must possess the ability to develop and articulate industry-specific go-to-market strategies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to convey effective and compelling industry-specific narratives.
Proven project management and multitasking abilities are essential, along with a strong capacity for collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders under tight timelines.
The ability to translate best practices into scalable and trainable programs and materials for various internal teams is necessary.
An MBA or an advanced degree in finance, economics, or a related field is strongly preferred.
Benefits:
The estimated pay range for this role is $150,000 - $203,000, plus eligibility for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.
The starting salary will be based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
