The Principal Platform Engineer (Azure) will lead the evolution of Bankjoy’s Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
This role requires expertise in DevOps, cloud security, and platform tooling development, with a strong foundation in Kubernetes, IaC, and containerized microservices.
Responsibilities include cloud architecture, security hardening, cost/performance optimization, and internal tooling development.
The position is hands-on and requires effective communication, documentation, and leadership by example.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in cloud/platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles, with at least 3 years focused on Azure.
Proven experience in building internal tools and services using C#/.NET Core or equivalent is required.
Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, and cloud-native patterns is essential.
A deep understanding of Azure security services, including IAM, Key Vault, and encryption strategies, is necessary.
Proficiency in Terraform, Bicep, or other declarative IaC tooling is required.
Strong command of Azure networking concepts such as VNets and hybrid networking is needed.
Familiarity with observability tooling like Azure Monitor or Grafana is preferred.
Candidates must have solid scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Clear communication skills and a strong documentation mindset are essential.
Experience with regulatory environments (e.g., NIST, SOC 2, PCI) is a bonus.
Working hours must align with Central or Eastern Time Zones.
