Remote Principal Security Researcher, Google

Description:

• The Principal Security Researcher at Huntress will report to the Director of Product Research and work remotely in the US.
• The compensation range for this position is between $210,000 to $240,000 base salary, plus bonus and equity.
• Huntress is a fully remote, global team focused on breaking down barriers to cybersecurity, providing enterprise-grade cybersecurity products to businesses of all sizes.
• The role involves leading security capabilities, investigating identity compromises, hunting threat actors in Google environments, and testing attack paths.
• Responsibilities include developing requirements for security products, safely testing vulnerabilities, analyzing technology for security weaknesses, and documenting research findings.
• The candidate will also be responsible for fostering collaboration between Product, Engineering, and Security teams, and building relationships with product leads.
• The position requires a passion for translating technical expertise into impactful security outcomes and promoting Huntress’ reputation through public engagement.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have expert skills in accessing and testing Google data without using console or native Google tools.
• A deep understanding of Google logs and APIs is required, along with experience in bypassing Google security controls and performing account takeovers.
• The ideal candidate should have experience building exploit proofs of concept and knowledge of Google vulnerabilities and threats.
• An innovator builder mindset is essential, with the ability to toggle between red team, systems administration, and defender roles.
• Candidates should have experience operating across multi-tenant environments, especially with MSPs and Google Workspace editions.
• Understanding of IT automation tools used by MSPs is preferred, along with experience in creating visualizations in Elastic and Kibana.
• Security conference presenters and community educators are preferred.
