The Principal Security Researcher at Huntress will report to the Director of Product Research and work remotely in the US.
The compensation range for this position is between $210,000 to $240,000 base salary, plus bonus and equity.
Huntress is a fully remote, global team focused on breaking down barriers to cybersecurity, providing enterprise-grade cybersecurity products to businesses of all sizes.
The role involves leading security capabilities, investigating identity compromises, hunting threat actors in Google environments, and testing attack paths.
Responsibilities include developing requirements for security products, safely testing vulnerabilities, analyzing technology for security weaknesses, and documenting research findings.
The candidate will also be responsible for fostering collaboration between Product, Engineering, and Security teams, and building relationships with product leads.
The position requires a passion for translating technical expertise into impactful security outcomes and promoting Huntress’ reputation through public engagement.
Requirements:
Candidates must have expert skills in accessing and testing Google data without using console or native Google tools.
A deep understanding of Google logs and APIs is required, along with experience in bypassing Google security controls and performing account takeovers.
The ideal candidate should have experience building exploit proofs of concept and knowledge of Google vulnerabilities and threats.
An innovator builder mindset is essential, with the ability to toggle between red team, systems administration, and defender roles.
Candidates should have experience operating across multi-tenant environments, especially with MSPs and Google Workspace editions.
Understanding of IT automation tools used by MSPs is preferred, along with experience in creating visualizations in Elastic and Kibana.
Security conference presenters and community educators are preferred.
