NETGEAR is seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer (SE) to join their Network Security team, focusing on cutting-edge network security solutions.
The role involves working directly with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Small-to-Medium Businesses (SMBs) as a trusted technical advisor.
The Sales Engineer will drive the successful adoption of NETGEAR’s next-generation security solutions.
Key responsibilities include acting as the technical subject matter expert (SME) on NETGEAR’s network security portfolio during the sales cycle.
The SE will collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and design tailored solutions using NETGEAR’s security offerings.
Responsibilities also include delivering technical presentations, product demos, and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) sessions for prospective customers.
The role involves guiding MSPs and SMBs through the deployment and implementation of various security products.
The SE will develop and maintain strong technical relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Providing feedback to product and engineering teams based on customer needs and competitive trends is also part of the role.
The position requires supporting channel partners with onboarding, enablement, and technical training.
Staying updated with industry trends, emerging threats, and competitive solutions is essential.
Participation in industry events, webinars, and other forums to promote NETGEAR’s security solutions is expected.
This is a remote position with occasional travel to customer sites, events, or team meetings.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or related technical role, specifically in network security.
Proven hands-on experience implementing and deploying solutions such as Next-Generation Firewalls, Zero-Trust Network Access, Secure Web Gateways, VPN technologies, and SD-WAN is necessary.
A strong understanding of routing, switching, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, etc.) is required.
The ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business value for stakeholders is essential.
Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills are mandatory.
Experience working with MSPs and/or SMB clients in a consultative or pre-sales capacity is preferred.
