  • The role involves working directly with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Small-to-Medium Businesses (SMBs) as a trusted technical advisor.
  • The Sales Engineer will drive the successful adoption of NETGEAR’s next-generation security solutions.
  • Key responsibilities include acting as the technical subject matter expert (SME) on NETGEAR’s network security portfolio during the sales cycle.
  • The SE will collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and design tailored solutions using NETGEAR’s security offerings.
  • Responsibilities also include delivering technical presentations, product demos, and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) sessions for prospective customers.
  • The role involves guiding MSPs and SMBs through the deployment and implementation of various security products.
  • The SE will develop and maintain strong technical relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Providing feedback to product and engineering teams based on customer needs and competitive trends is also part of the role.
  • The position requires supporting channel partners with onboarding, enablement, and technical training.
  • Staying updated with industry trends, emerging threats, and competitive solutions is essential.
  • Participation in industry events, webinars, and other forums to promote NETGEAR’s security solutions is expected.
  • This is a remote position with occasional travel to customer sites, events, or team meetings.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or related technical role, specifically in network security.
  • Proven hands-on experience implementing and deploying solutions such as Next-Generation Firewalls, Zero-Trust Network Access, Secure Web Gateways, VPN technologies, and SD-WAN is necessary.
  • A strong understanding of routing, switching, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, etc.) is required.
  • The ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business value for stakeholders is essential.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills are mandatory.
  • Experience working with MSPs and/or SMB clients in a consultative or pre-sales capacity is preferred.
