  • As a Principal DevOps and Cloud Deployment Engineer, you will lead the development of ABBYY Vantage in on-prem environments.
  • This role requires a combination of infrastructure, automation, and cloud deployment skills to ensure a reliable, secure, and manageable system for enterprise customers.
  • Responsibilities include designing and improving deployment processes, building tools to automate installations and upgrades, debugging service failures, and collaborating with engineers to simplify deployments.
  • You will also add logging and monitoring to enhance system operation, guide infrastructure decisions, and support the growth of team members through knowledge sharing and mentoring.

Requirements:

  • You must have 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure roles, including senior or lead positions.
  • A strong Linux background and experience managing large-scale systems are required.
  • You should have experience automating deployments and operational tasks, as well as strong debugging skills for distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with on-prem enterprise software delivery and support is necessary.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell is required.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and container-based systems is needed.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is preferred.
  • Familiarity with packaging and delivery systems (MSI, RPM, Docker images) is required.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Pulumi is necessary.
