Remote Product Engineer (Go / Python / Generalist)

Description:

• At Speakeasy, we are building the next generation of API infrastructure to provide a stripe-like developer experience through best-in-class developer surfaces.
• Our tools primarily utilize Golang and Typescript, and we leverage LLMs to enhance our product experience.
• The code we generate is published as GitHub Open Source Repositories for SDKs of our customer’s API, Terraform Providers, and other developer surfaces, branded as "Powered By Speakeasy."
• We have a web interface built with React, Typescript, and Golang to assist in configuration.
• Our customers appreciate our offerings and promote us online, indicating a strong market presence.
• We have a significant total addressable market (TAM) and high revenue per customer, with natural virality and product distribution methods.
• Our team is a close-knit group of 20 individuals who prioritize developer experience and customer value.
• We seek polyglots who can support customers across various languages and technologies.
• Our engineering culture emphasizes context over control, allowing for rapid and continuous code deployment.
• We value in-person collaboration while accommodating remote work, meeting quarterly for team gatherings.

Requirements:

• You should be enthusiastic about tackling technical challenges for developer-focused products and willing to explore new technologies.
• You must be comfortable in a fast-paced and ambiguous startup environment.
• A passion for diving deep into design documents while also being action-oriented is essential.
• You should have empathy for developers and a strong enthusiasm for creating developer-first products.
• A solid product sense and experience in building infrastructure products that support other teams are required.
• You need to enjoy understanding technical domains in depth and be willing to engage with complex details.
• A high sense of technical ownership and a commitment to customer satisfaction are necessary.
• While location in San Francisco is strongly preferred, we expect at least one to three days in the office each week.
