Nielsen is seeking a Product Solutions Architect to focus on the Gracenote portfolio of products and customers.
The role involves developing subject matter expertise in assigned products and maintaining in-depth knowledge of Gracenote’s products, formats, delivery mechanisms, ID structure, content standards, and underlying technology.
Responsibilities include acting as an internal consultant for Pre-Sales and Implementation teams, reviewing client use cases, creating proof-of-concepts, and performing data analysis to align product solutions with client business problems.
The architect will support the Product Solutions Team, Customer and Partner Success, and Sales organizations in technical pre-sales activities by assessing potential applications of company products and providing in-depth product overviews.
The role requires gathering client use cases and proactively proposing technical solutions that demonstrate how Gracenote products address customer challenges.
The architect will assist in the early implementation phase of customer engagement, providing technical support and recommendations to client-side Engineering teams.
Responsibilities also include providing level-2 maintenance customer support, participating in RFP/RFI responses, and creating customer experience documentation.
The architect will support product development efforts, maintain a high level of technical product knowledge, and provide post-sale customer support and training.
The role requires collaboration with various teams to improve product delivery quality and decrease escalations.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent in computer science or software engineering is required.
Candidates should have 3-5 years of engineering experience in developing or technically supporting consumer electronics products or related fields.
Knowledge of embedded and server-based systems, as well as a background in video or entertainment, is a strong advantage.
Proficiency in working with data feed types (CSV, XML, JSON, YAML) and the ability to analyze them is necessary.
Experience with database, ETL, and scripting technologies (PERL, PHP, shell) is required.
Familiarity with data delivery technologies (FTP, rsync, API (REST, SOAP)) is essential.
Proficiency in back-office tools such as Jira, SNOW, Salesforce, Confluence Wiki, and Google Workspace is expected.
A keen interest in emerging technologies in the digital content domain is desired.
Strong leadership, communication, presentation, project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Candidates should demonstrate ownership, follow-through, risk management, and problem anticipation abilities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in relevant languages are required.
Technical writing skills and international experience are a plus, as is the ability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally (up to 20%).
