Responsibilities include working closely with clients to understand their technical requirements and business goals, leading and supporting MariaDB deployments, conducting performance tuning and troubleshooting, providing strategic recommendations, developing technical documentation, educating customers, participating in the software development lifecycle, and facilitating efforts to reproduce customer issues.
Requirements:
Proven expertise in database technologies, particularly MariaDB or MySQL, is required.
Hands-on experience in database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting is essential.
Proficiency with SQL and familiarity with database programming languages is necessary.
A strong understanding of database architecture, replication, and backup strategies is required.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues are needed.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused mindset are essential.
Good knowledge of Linux and hands-on experience with everyday maintenance/administration is required.
Basic shell/bash/ansible scripting skills are necessary.
Work experience with version control (git) and defect tracking systems is required.
Understanding of DevOps and agile development practices is essential.
