Remote Professional System Engineer

Description:

• You are responsible for managing complete customer infrastructures in close contact with clients, either on-site or remotely, in the SME sector.
• Your tasks include consulting, operating, and further developing the on-premise, private, and public cloud platforms of our clients in technology areas such as Microsoft servers and clients, Azure, networking, virtualization, backup/restore, databases, antivirus, monitoring, security, and more.
• Your involvement in change, problem, and incident management (second-level) as well as the independent implementation of projects is required.
• Additionally, you will support with your expertise in technical analysis and deep troubleshooting (third-level).
• In the area of requirement engineering, you will skillfully capture IT infrastructure-related requirements from clients and actively support the presales process.
• You will take responsibility and create IT concepts/IT architectures based on the requirements.
• You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, and communication at the middle management level will not be a concern for you.
• The optimal customer care and implementation of projects with a focus on quality, effectiveness, and efficiency will round out your responsibilities.

Requirements:

• You possess a completed higher education in computer science, a comparable qualification with existing manufacturer certifications, or are a career changer with relevant professional experience.
• You have a broad, solid understanding of SME IT architectures.
• You have several years of experience with SME IT infrastructures in areas such as Windows server and client, networking, databases, Azure, cloud experience, and continuously develop core technologies.
• You have a healthy spirit of innovation and motivation for improving and further developing customer environments.
• You enjoy analyzing, optimizing, and automating recurring tasks (e.g., with Windows PowerShell).
• You are comfortable creating documentation and presentations for decision-making bodies as well as for IT operations.
• Your entrepreneurial thinking and action with pragmatic approaches distinguish you.
• You have a communicative personality with a doer mentality that convinces others.
• Your German language skills are excellent, and you also bring very good English language skills.
