Solace is a healthcare advocacy marketplace that connects patients and families to experts who help them understand and take charge of their personal health.
As a Python ML Engineer at Solace, you will own the deployment and operationalization of machine learning models that power intelligent features across the platform.
You will work closely with data scientists and product teams to transition algorithms from prototype to production, building scalable and reliable systems in AWS that improve healthcare access and outcomes for patients.
The role requires a builder who can navigate between code, infrastructure, and real-world impact, understanding the ML lifecycle end-to-end.
You will deploy models with SageMaker, build inference APIs with FastAPI, and automate pipelines with Airflow, focusing on shipping practical solutions that matter.
Solace is a Series B startup founded in 2022, backed by several venture capital firms, and operates with a fully remote U.S. team that is mission-driven and growing fast.
The company aims to fix the complexities of the U.S. healthcare system, which affects health literacy among adults, by pairing patients with expert advocates.
Requirements:
You must have strong Python engineering skills, particularly in ML model deployment.
Proven experience with AWS services, including SageMaker, Lambda, ECS, and API Gateway, is required.
You should be comfortable building APIs with FastAPI or Flask for model inference.
Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow and Step Functions is necessary.
An understanding of CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and versioning for ML is essential.
Solid SQL skills and experience integrating with Snowflake or Postgres are required.
Bonus points for experience with ML observability tools (e.g., MLflow), serverless architectures, or in startup/healthcare settings.
Benefits:
This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work environment.
You will have the opportunity to stretch your skills and ship impactful ML infrastructure.
You will collaborate with a high-performance team dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes.
The role offers a chance to contribute to the evolution of Solace’s ML infrastructure and internal tooling.
