  • Trella Health is seeking a QA Automation Lead to architect and drive the automation strategy from the ground up.

  • The QA Automation Lead will define the automation roadmap, select tools, implement best practices, and embed automation into the development lifecycle.
  • Responsibilities include mentoring and upskilling QA team members and fostering a culture of quality engineering.
  • The position is remote-first, with a preference for candidates near regional hubs in Atlanta, Nashville, or Philadelphia.
  • The role reports to the Director of Quality Assurance.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 7+ years in QA Automation, with at least 3 years leading automation framework development from scratch.
  • Expertise in automation tools and libraries such as Playwright, Cypress, REST-assured, Postman, and PyTest is required.
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, including TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or Java, is necessary.
  • Demonstrated experience in architecting automated solutions for UI, API, data validation, and mobile testing is essential.
  • A deep knowledge of CI/CD integration using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins is required.
  • Strong understanding of QA strategy, test design techniques, and coverage models is necessary.
  • Experience integrating with test management platforms, such as TestRail, is required.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for mentorship and knowledge sharing are essential.
