The role is for a QA Engineer / SDET with a strong focus on backend testing and cloud technologies.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, test suites, and test infrastructure.
The QA Engineer will perform manual testing for exploratory, usability, and edge-case testing as needed.
Collaboration with developers, product managers, and other QA team members is essential to define test strategies, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
The role involves writing clear and concise bug reports and tracking issues through resolution.
The QA Engineer will contribute to and follow testing processes and tracking.
Integration of tests into CI/CD pipelines is required to ensure fast feedback and code quality.
Participation in code reviews and architecture discussions related to testing is expected.
The position requires working under loose supervision and driving tasks to completion.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 3–6+ years of experience in QA Engineering, SDET, or a similar backend-focused testing role.
Proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript is necessary.
Strong experience with Playwright is required.
Candidates should have strong experience testing GQL APIs, Neo4j, Kubernetes, and microservices.
Solid experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and IAM is essential.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation is required.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline and gitlab-ci is necessary.
A solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes is required.
The ability to analyze logs, use monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog), and debug issues in a distributed environment is essential.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required.

The base salary range for this position is $155,000 - $208,000 annually, with additional compensation potentially including performance bonuses and equity options.
