Description:

  • The role is for a Senior QA Engineer at Close, a company that develops a single-page TypeScript web app and a mobile app using React and React Native.
  • The backend tech stack includes Python/Flask, MongoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Redis, with services running in Docker on AWS.
  • The QA Engineer will work closely with three cross-functional product development teams: CRM, Admin & Onboarding, Conversations, Messaging & Scheduling, Automations & Integrations, and Data Insights.
  • Responsibilities include improving the quality of shipped products, testing features during development, monitoring recently shipped code, and focusing on user-facing behavior testing.
  • The QA Engineer will also test APIs and assist in enhancing automated testing strategies.
  • Projects include a Modern Rich Text Editor, Workflow Automation, Web-based calling, Web Forms, AI Notetaker, and responsive mobile web & native mobile app.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have a solid understanding of web technologies and user behavior, with a desire to lead QA efforts.
  • Senior 1 & 2 level candidates must have 4+ years of experience in testing/QA of user-facing behavior, while Staff level candidates should have 8+ years of experience.
  • Mid-level candidates should have approximately 3 years of similar experience and a willingness to grow.
  • Attention to detail is crucial for writing test plans and high-quality bug reports.
  • Candidates must care about product quality and user experience.
  • Applicants must be located in the USA (lower 48 timezones).
  • Bonus points for experience with JavaScript testing frameworks, testing GraphQL and Websockets, and working in B2B SaaS, particularly in Sales software.
