The role is for a Senior QA Engineer at Close, a company that develops a single-page TypeScript web app and a mobile app using React and React Native.
The backend tech stack includes Python/Flask, MongoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Redis, with services running in Docker on AWS.
The QA Engineer will work closely with three cross-functional product development teams: CRM, Admin & Onboarding, Conversations, Messaging & Scheduling, Automations & Integrations, and Data Insights.
Responsibilities include improving the quality of shipped products, testing features during development, monitoring recently shipped code, and focusing on user-facing behavior testing.
The QA Engineer will also test APIs and assist in enhancing automated testing strategies.
Projects include a Modern Rich Text Editor, Workflow Automation, Web-based calling, Web Forms, AI Notetaker, and responsive mobile web & native mobile app.
Requirements:
Candidates should have a solid understanding of web technologies and user behavior, with a desire to lead QA efforts.
Senior 1 & 2 level candidates must have 4+ years of experience in testing/QA of user-facing behavior, while Staff level candidates should have 8+ years of experience.
Mid-level candidates should have approximately 3 years of similar experience and a willingness to grow.
Attention to detail is crucial for writing test plans and high-quality bug reports.
Candidates must care about product quality and user experience.
Applicants must be located in the USA (lower 48 timezones).
Bonus points for experience with JavaScript testing frameworks, testing GraphQL and Websockets, and working in B2B SaaS, particularly in Sales software.
