Description:

  • The engineer will define and improve change management procedures, versioning strategies, and release policies to support complex software and firmware integrations.
  • Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining release schedules, advocating for quality assurance readiness, driving go/no-go decisions, managing release communications, monitoring progress of various releases, and creating detailed release documentation.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in software release, QA, or software engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile and DevOps release methodologies, CI/CD tools, and version control systems like Git is essential.
  • Proficiency with JIRA, configuration management tools, and issue tracking systems is required.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a safety-first mindset is necessary.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills are required.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities based on data-driven insights are essential.
  • Bonus points for experience in robotics, automotive, or logistics industries, test automation, hardware release management, or statistical analysis of test results.
