Serve Robotics is seeking a Release QA Engineer III to manage and organize release workflows for their sidewalk robot delivery service.
The role involves ensuring high-quality weekly releases and requires a deep understanding of multi-platform releases, including autonomy, cloud, mobile, robot, hardware, and embedded firmware.
Responsibilities include defining and improving release policies, managing the software release lifecycle, developing release plans and schedules, and driving improvements to release processes.
The engineer will collaborate with the QA team, TPMs, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure thorough testing and quality standards are met.
The position also involves managing release budgets, creating documentation, and building internal tools to track release status and approvals.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in Release, Software engineering, or Quality Assurance.
Knowledge of software development lifecycles and release management methodologies, such as Agile and DevOps, is essential.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and project management techniques is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable working in high ambiguity situations and managing multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git, and a safety-first mindset are required.
Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
Experience with issue tracking and configuration management tools, such as JIRA, is necessary.
Candidates should have experience making data-driven decisions and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
