  • Serve Robotics is seeking a Release QA Engineer III to manage and organize release workflows for their sidewalk robot delivery service.
  • The role involves ensuring high-quality weekly releases and requires a deep understanding of multi-platform releases, including autonomy, cloud, mobile, robot, hardware, and embedded firmware.
  • Responsibilities include defining and improving release policies, managing the software release lifecycle, developing release plans and schedules, and driving improvements to release processes.
  • The engineer will collaborate with the QA team, TPMs, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure thorough testing and quality standards are met.
  • The position also involves managing release budgets, creating documentation, and building internal tools to track release status and approvals.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in Release, Software engineering, or Quality Assurance.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles and release management methodologies, such as Agile and DevOps, is essential.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and project management techniques is necessary.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working in high ambiguity situations and managing multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git, and a safety-first mindset are required.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
  • Experience with issue tracking and configuration management tools, such as JIRA, is necessary.
  • Candidates should have experience making data-driven decisions and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
