The Robotics Planning and Controls Team Lead will drive the development of motion planning and trajectory control algorithms for multi-robot navigation.
This role involves hands-on leadership, managing a small team while directly contributing to the codebase and architecture.
The position requires collaboration with global engineering teams to integrate planning and control into a distributed robotic system and shape the roadmap for future capabilities.
Flexible work arrangements are available, allowing remote work from the U.S., Canada, England, Scotland, or Portugal.
Requirements:
A Masterโs degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related engineering discipline is required.
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience developing production software with C++ or other object-oriented languages.
At least 1 year of hands-on leadership experience as a Team Lead or in a similar technical role is necessary, including mentoring engineers and managing direct reports.
A minimum of 5 years of experience working on mobile robotics systems, such as AMRs or autonomous vehicles, is required.
Deep experience in motion planning, trajectory control, and/or optimization is essential.
Proficiency in developing in a Linux environment is required.
Familiarity with ROS and the ROS navigation stack is necessary.
Experience with distributed robotics systems and scalable architectures is required.
Proven ability to manage high-impact projects in fast-paced, dynamic environments is essential.
Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to engage diverse audiences effectively.
