This role reports to the Engineering Manager and can be based anywhere in the US, with a preference for California, Indiana, or New York.
The company is fully remote but gathers local team members in San Francisco monthly, with a strong preference for candidates in the greater Bay Area.
The engineering team builds new features, improves security, and enhances both frontend and backend systems across web and mobile apps.
The hired engineer will start by contributing to security enhancement projects across the stack during onboarding.
Responsibilities include software development, technical leadership, code quality, system design, collaboration, continuous improvement, and ensuring security and compliance.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4+ years of experience building, deploying, and running fullstack applications in production environments.
Experience with complex React/Redux codebases, including implementing new features and improving existing components, is required.
Candidates should have experience designing and implementing APIs at scale.
Familiarity with AWS Cloud infrastructure or similar is necessary.
A commitment to writing clean, maintainable code and producing thorough documentation is essential.
Candidates should possess a growth-oriented attitude, motivated to learn and grow while sharing knowledge with others.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Comfort in working across time zones and countries is necessary, as the team collaborates with engineers in Kenya and other locations.
