Octopus by RTG is hiring a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer for one of their partners.
The developer will be responsible for building and implementing data-driven marketing solutions.
Responsibilities include creating complex audience segments, coding emails and landing pages, and developing integrations with external systems.
The role also involves supporting solution architects in assessing technical feasibility and effort during project discovery phases.
Key tasks include building audiences and segments using complex logic, building emails according to design, and creating landing pages from scratch.
The developer will also develop integrations between Marketing Cloud and external systems, create and present solution documentation, and configure, test, document, implement, and provide training on Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Additional responsibilities include creating, editing, and manipulating complex SQL, AMPscript, SSJS, and JSON, implementing minor edits to creative files, following a rigorous QA process, and proposing optimization activities.
The developer will support the Solution Architect during discovery by advising on the level of effort and feasibility of technical components.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4+ years of relevant Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience.
A Bachelorβs degree in marketing, communications, business management, computer science, information technology, or equivalent work experience is required.
Proficiency in coding across AMPscript, SQL, HTML/CSS, SSJS, and JSON is necessary.
Expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Studio & Journey Builder is required, with additional expertise in CDP, Interaction Studio, and Advertising Studio being a plus.
Understanding of data privacy and protection practices, such as CAN-SPAM and blacklisting, is essential.
Candidates should be able to build/edit existing HTML and CSS.
Required certifications include at least three of the following: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer Certified, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certified, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant Certified, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Admin Certified.
Other skills include attention to detail, knowledge in standard and custom reporting, proactiveness, ownership and accountability of project tasks, open communication, experience in Agile project methodology, collaboration, and estimation of timelines and solution approaches.
