• Upwork has partnered with a global direct and digital marketing agency seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Developer.
• The ideal candidate is an expert in front-end email development and advanced SFMC platform capabilities.
• Strong experience in AMPscript, Data Extensions, and dynamic content personalization is required.
• This role supports fast-paced campaign execution, necessitating immediate onboarding and effective collaboration with global teams.
• Responsibilities include building responsive email templates using hand-coded HTML and CSS, troubleshooting rendering issues across major email clients and devices, customizing existing email templates, and implementing modular email design using SFMC Content Builder.
• The candidate will create and manage content blocks and templates in Content Builder, implement AMPscript for content personalization, build and maintain Data Extensions, and understand email behavior within Journey Builder workflows.
• The role involves implementing complex AMPscript-driven personalization logic, using recipient engagement data to modify future email content, designing lookup tables for dynamic content rendering, and writing SQL queries for data segmentation.
• Collaboration with cross-functional and offshore teams is essential, along with communicating technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders and contributing to ongoing projects.

Requirements:

• Proven expertise in HTML/CSS for responsive email development is required.
• A strong command of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Content Builder, AMPscript, and Data Extensions, is necessary.
• Working knowledge of Journey Builder is required, and Automation Studio experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in writing and debugging SQL queries within SFMC is essential.
• A deep understanding of data flows, dynamic content rendering, and personalization strategies is required.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills are necessary for this role.
• The ability to work independently and deliver under tight deadlines is essential.
• Candidates must be available to work in the EST timezone.
