Responsibilities include owning, scoping, prototyping, and implementing various solutions such as programmatically interrogating proprietary instrument output files, designing data structures with JSON schemas, developing Python-based parsers, and integrating lab software via APIs.
The position requires data visualization in Python using frameworks like Jupyter Notebooks or Streamlit, as well as BI tools like Tableau, Spotfire, or PowerBI.
The candidate will interview customers to understand their scientific and business requirements and work with them to ensure solutions meet their needs.
Real-time problem-solving and proactive communication of implementation progress to customer stakeholders are essential.
The role includes leading sprint-planning and prioritization for specific use cases or accounts, facilitating internal project retrospectives, and assisting the product team in building and prioritizing the roadmap based on customer pain points.
A minimum of 5 years of experience leveraging Python for scripting, automation, data analysis, data engineering, or data science is required.
The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in life sciences, either in Biopharma, bioinformatics, or the vendor space.
The role requires the ability to quickly understand technical products and communicate effectively with product management and engineering teams.
The candidate should be passionate about science and making data more accessible, intellectually curious, resilient, and possess excellent communication skills.
Team collaboration and a willingness to travel to customer sites within EMEA (up to 20%) are necessary.
Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) for solution design and architecture is a plus.
