Remote SDET III - Python (Remote - India)

Description:

• The position is for an SDET III - Python at Jumio, located in India, and is a remote role.
• The role focuses on ensuring product reliability and performance for complex, large-scale systems.
• As a senior member of the test engineering team, the candidate will architect automation frameworks, design robust test strategies, and champion quality across the entire product lifecycle.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD processes and influence technical decisions.

• Key accountabilities include architecting, maintaining, and enhancing scalable automated test frameworks, designing and executing test strategies for backend systems, owning quality metrics, performing root cause analysis, and mentoring other SDETs and QA engineers.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience is required.
• Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in frameworks such as PyTest, unittest, and Selenium is necessary.
• A proven background in building and maintaining test frameworks for large-scale web applications and RESTful APIs is essential.
• Experience working with Docker, AWS, and microservices-based test automation is required.
• Familiarity with SQL and databases such as MySQL or MongoDB is a nice to have.
• Exposure to ML model testing and data-driven testing methodologies is preferred.
• Solid experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI is required.
• A strong understanding of Agile development, QA methodologies, and defect management tools is necessary.
• Proficiency with UNIX/Linux environments and scripting (Bash, Shell) is required.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with a proactive and mentoring mindset are necessary.
• Bonus qualifications include prior experience as a lead SDET, open-source contributions, or knowledge of performance/load testing tools.
