The position is for an experienced, permanent/full-time Security Engineer to lead security implementation and compliance efforts for a cloud-based monitoring and oversight solution.
The Security Engineer will ensure adherence to federal security standards and manage the Authority to Operate (ATO) process.
This role contributes to the delivery of healthcare to millions of Americans by monitoring and preventing fraud, waste, and abuse.
Key responsibilities include leading ATO documentation development, conducting security control reviews, managing vulnerability scanning, and coordinating with security teams.
The engineer will maintain the System Security Plan (SSP), implement data encryption, develop incident response procedures, and ensure compliance with federal security requirements.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity and federal compliance.
Expert knowledge of the NIST cybersecurity framework and FISMA requirements is essential.
Experience with federal security processes and ATO procedures is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with cloud security in AWS environments.
Experience with security control implementation and assessment is required.
Knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations is important.
Proficiency in security tools and vulnerability assessment is needed.
Strong documentation and communication skills are required.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is mandatory.

Benefits:
The salary range for this position is between $135,000 and $200,000, based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
